What this register contains
- Company financials, FY2021–FY2025 — revenue, cost of revenue, R&D, capital expenditure, land and building holdings, raw-material inventories, debt, buybacks and more, extracted from audited annual filings (10-K / 20-F / 40-F) via SEC EDGAR’s structured XBRL data.
- Material taxonomy & flows — 64 material and product categories from raw (iron ore, timber, crude oil) through intermediate (steel, lumber, semiconductors) to end products (automobiles, buildings, data centers), connected by 127 directed input→output edges.
- Company–material tags — each company is tagged with the materials it produces and consumes, derived from its SEC industry classification plus a curated layer for major producers.
- Price series & correlations — 54 monthly commodity-price and producer-price-index series plus 17 import-price indexes (2015–present) from FRED and the BLS, with pairwise co-movement statistics and a CPI-deflated inflation scorecard.
- Global production-network layer — product centrality, world-trade share, and validation of our flow graph from AIPNET, an AI-generated production network by Fetzer, Lambert, Feld & Garg (2024). Shown as model-predicted links, not measured trade.
